We protect native habitats through outreach, education, and research.
Holly Haven has a dual mission -
To support science and environmental and ecological education for people and students of all ages, and
To act as a sanctuary for the protection and preservation of native habitats for wildlife.
Holly Haven Wildlife Sanctuary is a certified wildlife sanctuary located in an area that is environmentally sensitive, where the ecosystem and the surrounding areas have been disrupted. However, ongoing measures are being taken to restore calm and balance, to protect the riparian corridor and water sources that are vital to wildlife and vegetation, and to provide natural habitats for displaced wildlife. As a result, the Sanctuary is only open during scheduled events.
A little bit of History...
Holly Haven is a magical place that protects wildlife and transforms people. It is tucked away in a secluded area of Highland, CA at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains and the National Forest. Holly Haven was always meant to be preserved in its natural state, especially for the benefit of wildlife, as more and more of their habitats everywhere are being destroyed. It was also meant to be a place to conduct environmental and biodiversity research and conservation education, and to honor Mother Earth and all living things…
